What
Newport Chess Club is a friendly and thriving club, with an active membership of around twenty, which includes social and competitive players of all ages. The club enters teams in the Welsh Chess Premier League, Newport and District Chess League and the Welsh Chess Union Knockout Cups
Where and When
Newport Chess Club meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm at the Baneswell Community Centre, St. Mary Street, Baneswell NP20 4DG. (Map)
Adjacent to Newport City Centre, Baneswell is readily accessible both on foot and by car, though car drivers need to take care because of the one way system in the local streets. Parking is usually available on St Mary Street.
